Phnom Penh – His Excellency Chea Somethy, Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, accompanied Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet at the Cambodia Outlook 2023 Conference, themed ‘Cambodia Vision 2030 and Beyond: Charting a Path for Resilient, Sustainable, and Inclusive Prosperity.’

During this crucial forum held on Thursday morning, November 23, at the Sokha Hotel Phnom Penh, Samdech Hun Manet outlined the nation’s economic expectations. Through the prioritization of policies and the implementation of key measures, Cambodia anticipates a 5.6 percent growth in the economy for 2023, followed by a sustained growth of 6.6 percent in 2024.

Despite these positive expectations, the head of the Royal Government also addressed potential challenges. Samdech emphasized, ‘Certainly, this growth outlook may encounter risks, given the current highly uncertain situation. Consequently, Cambodia is committed to a spirit of regular and proactive reform, aiming to enhance resilience and promote economic diversification.’
