Phnom Penh – Chairman of the National Committee Against Torture, H.E Nuth Sa An, along with a delegation, conducted an inspection of the Phnom Penh Social Welfare Center (Prey Speu) on the morning of December 13, 2023. The visit aimed to disseminate national legal documents related to torture and inspect prisons and temporary detention centers in the capital and provinces without prior notice.

Upon arrival, His Excellency and the delegation expressed high appreciation for the efforts of the center’s staff and civil servants, acknowledging the dedicated care provided by the medical team to vulnerable victims who are homeless. They commended the leadership for maintaining a good and comfortable living environment in the center.
