Phnom Penh: A delegation from the People’s Republic of China, headed by Mr. Ma Fangling, Chief Engineer of the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, visited Phnom Penh on December 15, 2023. The delegation engaged in a series of discussions and formalized collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Persons With Disabilities Fund.

The memorandum focuses on fostering collaboration in product research, development, training, and technological advancements in assistive devices. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and mutual support, emphasizing principles of solidarity, equal consultation, and mutual benefit.

Simultaneously, the Chinese delegation conducted an insightful visit to a Cambodian artificial limbs factory. The visit included inspections of technology and knowledge exchange related to the production of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive aids on the Cambodian side.
