Makassar, Indonesia – On the evening of Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Her Excellency Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Social Affairs for the Republic of Indonesia, hosted a gala dinner in honor of the ASEAN High-Level Forum on “Disability-Inclusive Development and Partnership Beyond 2025.” The event took place at the historical Fort Rotterdam in Makassar, Indonesia.

The gala dinner was attended by an esteemed delegation of ministers from various ASEAN countries. Representing H.E. Chea Somethy, the Cambodian Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, were H.E. Em Chan Makara and H.E. Suong Menglong, the Secretary of State. Their presence was met with a warm welcome from Her Excellency Tri Rismaharini, the host and Indonesia’s Minister of Social Affairs.

The event featured captivating traditional art performances by hundreds of talented artists with disabilities from the Republic of Indonesia, adding cultural richness to the occasion.

In a gesture symbolizing the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations, H.E. Em Chan Makara, representing H.E. Chea Somethy, the Cambodian Minister of Social Affairs, presented a meticulously crafted statue of Angkor Wat as a souvenir to H.E. Tri Rismaharini, the Minister of Social Affairs for the Republic of Indonesia.
