Banteay Meanchey – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E Sar Sokha, took part in a gathering with flood victims in Serey Sophorn City and Mongkul Borey District, Banteay Meanchey Province, on November 1, 2023.

According to Mr. Khun Vuthy, Director of the Provincial Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, the ceremony was attended by H.E Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey, along with provincial officials and 239 affected families. Each family received essential aid, which included 25 kg of rice, a package of noodles, soy sauce, fish sauce, and fermented fish, in addition to 50,000 KHR. The aid distribution took place at Stung Sen Restaurant in Serey Sophorn City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

During the event, Deputy Prime Minister H.E Sar Sokha generously donated 40,000,000 KHR (forty million Riels) to H.E Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, to support the flood victims.
