Minister of Social Affairs Leads Delegation to Commemorate 11th Anniversary of His Majesty the King-Father

Phnom Penh – In a dignified ceremony held at the East Park of the Independence Monument on the morning of Sunday, October 15, 2023, H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, led a delegation from the ministry in paying their respects to the late King-Father, His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk, on the 11th anniversary of his passing.

The delegation, comprising dignitaries and civil servants from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, gathered to honor the memory of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, who is renowned as the father of Cambodia’s independence, territorial integrity, and national unity.

His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, the former monarch of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was born on October 31, 1922, in Phnom Penh. His passing occurred on October 15, 2012, at 1:20 pm in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, at the age of 90. His legacy continues to be cherished by the people of Cambodia.
