Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of October 4, 2023, H.E Em Chan Makara, the Secretary of State and spokesperson for the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation, held a meeting with Mr. Glen Felgate, the Director of PR and Managing Director of PNN. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss plans for organizing a brief training course focused on the art of news article writing for senior officials within the Ministry.

During their productive discussion, H.E Em Chan Makara formally requested Mr. Glen Felgate, who brings his professional journalism experience from major global and Cambodian media outlets, to spearhead the training course. The primary objective of this training is to equip senior officials within the Ministry with the skills necessary to craft news articles effectively. This, in turn, will facilitate more efficient communication and rapid responses to matters concerning the Ministry and the Department of Social Affairs. Participants will gain valuable insights into professional news writing and learn how to effectively engage with journalists and citizens.

As per the current plan, the training course on news article writing is scheduled for October 27, 2023. This initiative aims to provide an opportunity for government officials at all levels within the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation to participate and enhance their communication skills.
